Hayden Nominated as New Spy Chief

It's official. President Bush has, indeed, named Gen. Michael Hayden as the new CIA chief. Hayden would replace Porter Goss, who surprised many by resigning Friday. It's not a given that Hayden will be confirmed, however. There's concern on both sides of the aisle about putting a military officer in charge of the civilian agency.
