It's the military's job to notify and assist families when one of their own is killed. We talk with those who have that responsibility and a Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer who spent a year embedded with a Marine unit of casualty-assistance officers.

Guests:

Chaplain Eric Wester, U.S. Army colonel.

Todd Heisler, Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer, Rocky Mountain News.

Maj. Steve Beck, U.S. Marine profiled in the Pulitzer-prize winning series "Final Salute," site commander of Marine Air Control Squadron 23 at Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado.
