Transcribing Mozart

Audio for this story from Performance Today is not available.

The Rondo from Mozart's Haffner Serenade is a real showpiece for the violin. Fritz Kreisler made a transcription of it in an effort to show off his skills on the violin and piano; then he'd show off by playing it on violin one night, and on piano the next. Violinist Arnaud Sussmann and pianist Andre-Michel Schub perform Kreisler's transcription at the Virginia Arts Festival.
