Operation Jump Start begins this week. The program brings National Guard troops to the aid of the Border Patrol in the effort to stop illegal immigration.

National Guard Col. Robert Cannon, Joint Task Force Commander for Operation Jump Start in Texas, says that the guardsmen and women will not be armed, but will be doing office work to free up border patrol agents.
