Arlington, Ore., has recalled its mayor, who ignited a controversy when photos of her in lingerie appeared on MySpace. The mayor, who's a single mother, says a relative put them online to jumpstart her love life. Now she's selling the photos on eBay.

RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne.

Tiny Arlington, Oregon has recalled its mayor. And you might recall she ignited a controversy when photos of her in black lingerie appeared on MySpace. The mayor, who's a single mother, says a relative put the pin-ups on MySpace to jumpstart her love life. The mayor didn't apologize, and it didn't help that her critics also blame her for nearly shutting down the city's golf course. Now she's selling the photos on eBay.

It's MORNING EDITION.
