Once every two weeks freelance video game journalist Kyle Orland contributes his voice to the Press Start gaming podcast on NPR.org.
Kyle has been playing games voraciously since he got a Nintendo Entertainment System for his seventh birthday, and writing about them since he started fan site Super Mario Bros. HQ in 1997. Since then he's continued to write about games in his free time for outlets such as Electronic Gaming Monthly, Gamespot, Next Generation and many others. He is a founding member of the International Game Journalists Association and writes about the world of video game journalism on Video Game Media Watch.
Kyle graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2004 with degrees in computer science and journalism. He lives in Laurel, MD.
