Cerbone's debut CD Ordinary Days hide caption

Singer/songwriter Lisa Cerbone writes songs veiled in mystery. Her delicate guitar playing and lovely, poetic voice capture moments in time like a favorite snapshot.

Cerbone skillfully combines old and new influences. With a nod to Simon and Garfunkel and Neil Young, her songs also have a modern sound reminiscent of artists like Low and Mojave 3. The results are beautiful, powerful songs of longing, hope, and redemption.

Cerbone's latest recording, Ordinary Days, is produced by Mark Kozelek, frontman from Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon.

A seasoned performer, Cerbone has shared the stage with Ben Harper, The Cowboy Junkies, Lloyd Cole, and Lori Carson. In addition, Lisa was awarded a WAMMIE (from the Washington Area Music Association) for Best Female Vocalist in the alternative music category two years in a row. Cerbone's songs were also selected to be on TV shows (Homicide: Life on the Streets and Born into Exile, an NBC movie) and the film Forest for the Trees".
