Pianist Piotr Anderszewski is a case study in how losing badly at a music competition doesn't spell the end of a performer's career. He was a promising 21-year-old when he simply lifted his hands off the piano and walked out of a competition. But what he learned from that experience has helped him as an artist. Fred Child has details, and Piotr Anderszewski has Beethoven. The Op. 126 Bagatelles, to be exact, from a concert at the 2006 Schwetzingen Festival in Germany.
