Schumann's orchestral works spend much of their time hiding in the shadows of his piano and art song compositions — but not today. The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, led by Heinz Holliger, plays the most innovative of Schumann's four symphonies, his Symphony No. 4 in D minor.
