The year 1817 was a time of disappointment for Franz Schubert: He'd had to give up his hard-won independence and move back home for financial reasons. But the hardship never hurt his music. Roy Goodman conducts the English Chamber Orchestra in Schubert's exuberant Symphony No. 6 in C Major at the Montpellier Festival in France.
