And President Bush has just stepped off Air Force One in Green Bay, Wisconsin some minutes ago. The president is commenting on the alleged terror plot disrupted today by British authorities. And although he has finished his comments we're going to bring you this couple of comments that he made.

Here's one.

President GEORGE W. BUSH: The recent arrests that our fellow citizens are now learning about are a stark reminder that this nation is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom.

MONTAGNE: The president also said everyone worked together to foil the plan.

President BUSH: I want to thank the government of Tony Blair and officials in the United Kingdom for their good work in busting this plot. I thank the officials in Washington, D.C. and around our country, who gather intelligence and who work to protect the American people. The cooperation on this venture was excellent.

MONTAGNE: That is President Bush just moments ago. Earlier Prime Minister Tony Blair had briefed President Bush on the alleged terror plot against flights between the U.S. and Britain. Blair's office issued a public statement saying this underlies the threat that we face and our determination to counter it.

Blair has been vacationing in the Caribbean, while Bush is vacationing at his Texas ranch.
