Deborah Martin's husband was jailed for assault and battery after he severely beat her. Martin then took an unusual legal action against her abuser — she sued him in civil court. Last week, she was awarded $550,000 for her legal and medical bills.

Martin talks with Madeleine Brand about the brutal attack by her ex-husband, and her successful civil suit.
