August 23, 2006 - Performance Today commemorates the life of pianist Milton Kaye, who famously accompanied violinist Jascha Heifetz. Kaye's musical tastes were eclectic, and he was also a sought-after arranger and ensemble musician. We hear Kaye in an NPR interview from earlier this year. And from that same session in his New York apartment, he also plays a bit of Chopin. Kaye died in New York on Aug. 14, at the age of 97.
