Minnesota Democrats have endorsed an African-American Muslim to succeed Rep. Martin Sabo. Keith Ellison, a state lawmaker, defense attorney, and activist, would be the first African-American congressman in Minnesota history.

But there are some skeletons in his closet. In particular, he worked with the Nation of Islam in the mid-1990s. Tom Scheck of Minnesota Public Radio reports.
