New York is a wonderful town, as well as the center of the American musical world. Here are two works by New Yorkers: The Oregon Symphony plays an arrangement of tunes from Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin, and the Buffalo Philharmonic and soprano Dawn Upshaw perform Leonard Bernstein's "Lonely Town."
