Leak Fallout Forces HP's Dunn to Step Down
Patricia Dunn is resigning her position as chairwoman of Hewlett-Packard. Dunn was at the helm of HP's board when the company hired private investigators to obtain phone records of journalists and at least one board member. Dunn apologized Tuesday for the methods HP used in seeking to stop leaks to the media.
The company's actions are now being investigated by California's attorney general, the FBI and the Securities and Exchange Commission. When Dunn departs in January, Mark Hurd, the current chief executive, will become chairman.
