A man was counting his money while walking across a bridge in Florida. A $20 bill blew out of his hand. So naturally, Mark Giorgio leaped off the 50-foot bridge to retrieve it. We don't know what he was thinking during his free-fall toward the Manatee River. But after he was pulled out of the water by a fish-and-game officer, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune asked if the jump was worth it. He said "yes."

STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep with a tale of what we do for money.

A man was counting his money while walking across a bridge in Florida. A $20 bill blew out of his hand. So naturally Mark Giorgio leaped off the 50-foot bridge to retrieve it. We don't know what he was thinking during his free-fall toward the Manatee River. But after he was pulled out of the water by a fish and game officer, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune asked if the jump was worth it. He said yes.
