Debrett's, the publisher known in Britain as the authority on etiquette for the aristocracy for almost 250 years, released a new book called Etiquette for Girls. In addition to rules for correctly eating soup and meeting royalty, the book includes guidance for modern life. It addresses what to do when you meet a celebrity, tips on toplessness and rules for smoking.

If you're a smoker, always use a proper ashtray, never a wine bottle. And please don't exhale through the nose.
