Louisiana Legislature Plans Special Session
Republican lawmakers in Louisiana are trying to call the state legislature into special session next month. The session would deal with an insurance bailout for the state-run property insurance company, and a restructuring of the state's hurricane recovery authority.

Now here's an update on rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina. Some Louisiana lawmakers want a special session of the state legislature. Among other urgent matters, they want to bail out of the state-run property insurance company. One question is how quickly this happens and another is who gets the credit. The Democratic government could call a special session in December. Republicans want to call that session sooner.
