Four firemen were killed in a wildfire that is spreading rapidly in the tinder-dry hills east of Los Angeles. Pat Boss, a spokesman for the U.S. Forest Service, talks with Madeleine Brand about one of those men: Capt. Mark Loutzenhiser, a longtime firefighter and father of five — and a trusted friend.
