The World Rock, Paper, Scissors Championship was held over the weekend. Bob Cooper, a sales manager from London, beat 500 other contestants to take the crown. Jason Simmons, interviewed on Morning Edition last week, lost in the first round.

STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Some human beings spent the weekend flexing their fingers and their minds. It was the World Championship in Rock, Paper, Scissors. And if you think this is a joke, just listen to the joy of the winner.

(Soundbite of cheering)

Mr. BOB COOPER (Rock, Paper, Scissors National Champion): I win it. Yes. Yes.

INSKEEP: That's Bob Cooper, a sales manager from London. He beat about 500 contestants, including Jason Simmons, who was interviewed on MORNING EDITION last week. Mr. Simmons lost in the first round.
