Germany Considers Expanded Military Activities

Seven years ago, Germany sent troops abroad for the first time since the end of World War II. Most missions have focused on aid and rebuilding efforts in crisis zones.

But Germany recently published a vision for its military future that includes a significant increase in the number of German soldiers outside the country's borders, and a change in what they're allowed to do.
