CBC to Tell the Story of 'Little Mosque on the Prairie'

If you were watching television in the 1970s, or watching reruns anytime since, you know this theme. It's from “Little House on the Prairie.” That famous show is now the inspiration for a new program. It's a Canadian series called “Little Mosque on the Prairie.” It is described as a comedy. It's a light-hearted look at a Muslim family living in a small Canadian town after September 11th.

The creators include a Canadian Muslim filmmaker named Zarqa Nawaz. Her Web site says her production company is putting the fun into fundamentalism.
