A 122-year-old pub in the Australian outback is on the block. Bids are in for the landmark Birdsville Hotel. It's located in Birdsville, population 100. But it's a draw for people from all over.

And today's last word in business is news of a real estate investment Down Under. A pub in the Australian outback is on the block. Bids are in for the Birdsville Hotel, located in Birdsville, population 100. Here's owner Jo Forte(ph).

Ms. JO FORTE (Owner, Birdsville Hotel): It is a jolly long way from anywhere. It's right in the middle of Australia. Of course we'll be open to whatever offers are thrown across the bar.

INSKEEP: Location, location, location may not be so much of a factor here. Remoteness seems to have given this 122-year-old watering hole a legendary status among outback travelers. Forte says more than 100 people have called in with bids, and she hopes to get at least a few million dollars.
