Wild Blue Country is not your ordinary country/rock band. For one thing, its members recently had to undergo weapons and chemical-attack training. They're a part of the U.S. Air Force Academy Band, and last summer toured across Iraq and Afghanistan, performing for servicemen and women near the front lines.

Although one concert was interrupted by a rocket-propelled grenade attack, band members say it was the musical experience of a lifetime.
