Taser is introducing a more stylish stun gun. The company's consumer model fits in a handbag like a mobile phone and comes in pink, blue, silver or black. The guy menacing you on the street will notice how the stun gun coordinates with your outfit — just before you smack him with 50,000 volts.

STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning, I'm Steve Inskeep.

The gun maker Taser is introducing a more stylish stun gun. These are designed as non-lethal weapons. Police use them, and they're controversial because some suspects die. Now the company has a consumer model. It fits in a handbag like a mobile phone, and it comes in pink, blue, silver or black. The guy menacing you on the street will notice how the stun gun coordinates with your outfit, just before you smack him with 50,000 volts.
