Global Measles Death Rate Drops
The Measles Initiative was launched in 2001, and new numbers show that deaths from the disease have fallen nearly 60 percent — 75 percent in Africa alone. Edward Hoekstra of UNICEF, one of the coordinators of the initiative, speaks with Madeleine Brand.
