During the Republican National Committee's winter meeting, Florida Sen. Mel Martinez was named its new general chairman. Mike Duncan, a longtime RNC member from Kentucky, will serve as national chairman. The choice of Sen. Martinez ruffled some in the party, who oppose his stance on immigration.
