Tip for Thieves: Lay Off the GPS Devices
Three men are accused of robbing a public works garage on New York's Long Island and stealing GPS satellite navigation devices. Public works uses them to track the movements of snow plows or street sweepers. Police used the devices to trace one unit right to the home of one of the suspects.

Thoughtful burglars might have seen this coming. Three men allegedly robbed a public works garage in New York's Long Island. They stole GPS satellite navigation devices. They're used to track the movements of snowplows or street sweepers. You can see this, can't you? When the device has turned up missing, police conducted a simple investigation by logging on to the GPS system. They traced one unit right back to the home of a suspect who was found in possession of it.
