Imperial Teen

Imperial Teen

March 14, 2007Imperial Teen may be a one-hit wonder, but it continues to rock hard and rock well, long past its brief flirtation with success. In 1999, "Yoo Hoo" got the MTV and movie-soundtrack treatment, and like the Nada Surfs and Harvey Dangers of the world, Imperial Teen still writes great pop songs. Inspired by the Pixies and the warped pop aesthetic of Pavement, the band plays chaotic, punky alternative pop with vocals both sung and shouted.

KUT reflects Austin's diverse live music scene: Americana, rock, folk, jazz, and blues.
