NPR's David Welna reports on two Senate races of national significance: the tight contest in South Dakota, where incumbent Democrat Tim Johnson, who is leading by just 500 votes, has declared victory; and in Minnesota, where Republican Norm Coleman did the unthinkable by toppling Walter Mondale for the seat left vacant by the death of Paul Wellstone.
