Pitt

NPR's Jim Zarroli reports Harvey Pitt resigned from his position as Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission last night saying he didn't want the turmoil surrounding his tenure to be a burden to his agency. Today the White House said it could be weeks or even months before it names a replacement for Pitt. But the speculation about who might succeed him is already in full force. (3:30)
