News & Notes says farewell to Buddy Miles, the powerhouse drummer who backed up Jimi Hendrix –- and sang for The California Raisins. During his career, Miles appeared on more than 70 albums and worked with greats like Stevie Wonder, George Clinton and Carlos Santana.

Buddy Miles died at his Texas home at the age of 60.
