The Canadian duo graced the Bryant Park studio with songs from their new record, The Con. Today, we'll give another listen to "Nineteen."

ALISON STEWART, host:

The Bower Birds.

RACHEL MARTIN, host:

Jack Johnson.

STEWART: Ingrid Michaelson.

MARTIN: Hot Chip.

STEWART: A few of the bands that have passed through the BPP studios.

MARTIN: We love having live music on the show. And every once in a while a band gives us so much good stuff we can't even squeeze it all into the segment we play on the air.

STEWART: That happened a while back when the Canadian duo, and identical twin sisters, Tegan and Sarah, came into chat and play songs from their record "The Con."

MARTIN: We're happy to remedy that now. Before they played this song, Tegan Quinn told us it was one of her favorites, and we're happy to have the chance to play it now. Here's Tegan and Sarah with "Nineteen."

(Soundbite of song, "Nineteen")

TEGAN AND SARAH (Canadian singing duo): (Singing) I felt you in my legs before I ever met you. And when I laid beside you for the first time I told you I feel you in my heart, and I don't even know you.

And now we're saying bye, bye, bye. Now we're saying bye, bye, bye.

I was 19. Call me.

I felt you in my life before I ever thought to. I feel the need to lay it down beside you and tell you. I feel you in my heart, and I don't even know you.

And now we're saying bye, bye, bye. Now we're saying bye, bye, bye.

I was 19. Call me. I was 19. Call me.

I flew home back to where we met, stayed inside, I was so upset. And I cooked up a plan so good, except I was all alone, and you were all I had. Love you. You were all mine. Love me. I was yours, right. I was yours, right. I was 19. Call me. I was 19. Call me.

MARTIN: That was Tegan and Sarah playing "Nineteen" from their record "The Con" live in THE BRYANT PARK PROJECT studios. You can find the original interview on our Web site npr.org/bryantpark and video of that performance at npr.org/music.
