STEVEN INSKEEP, host:
Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.
If you are scheduled to die anytime soon, please avoid doing it in a town in southwest France. The local cemetery is full and an effort to expand it has failed. So the mayor says he was forced to take drastic action. He posted an ordinance. It says that all persons not having a plot in the cemetery and wishing to be buried in that town are forbidden from dying. The warning adds offenders will be severely punished.
It's MORNING EDITION.
