Woman, Coffee Escape Watery Car Crash

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.
She may have lost control of the car, but a woman kept control of what was really important. Authorities say the driver was reaching for her cell phone when she crashed. She not only left the road, she left the land. The car splashed into the waters off Oakland, California, and came to rest between the stilts of a home. But witnesses say the 22-year-old woman made it out safely. And she waded ashore still holding onto her morning coffee.
