Airline Study Shows Industry Deteriorating
An annual study of airline quality shows that the industry deteriorated in every major area last year. On-time arrivals dropped for the fifth straight year. More passengers were bumped from overbooked flights. Also in 2007, more bags were lost or damaged. Not surprisingly, passenger complaints rose at 15 out of the 16 airlines in the study. They more than doubled at US Airways. Only Mesa Airlines had fewer complaints than the previous year.
