RENEE MONTAGNE, host:
Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne.
An update now on the Pillsbury Bake-Off. We heard last week from the 1998 winner, who wrote a book about her experience. This year's winner comes from Maryland. After 15 years of entering the contest, Carolyn Gurtz won the million dollar grand prize with her Double-Delight Peanut Butter cookies. She's a homemaker who says her kids are hooked, but the real sign she was onto something good, she says, was when her dog Tucker turned into a cookie monster.
It's MORNING EDITION.
