The Latin American street gang MS-13, or Mara Salvatrucha, originated in Los Angeles but has quickly spread to include member cells throughout the United States, Mexico, and Central and South America. Susan Cruz, a former member of MS-13, talks about how the gang is organized and attracts so many members.

Rafael Rodriguez, a supervising producer for Discovery en Espanol, talks about his documentary Maras: A Regional Threat, which explores gang violence in Latin American communities.
