The Los Angeles Lakers are up 2-1 against the Utah Jazz in the NBA conference semi-finals. Lakers' star Kobe Bryant has just been named the the league's Most Valuable Player.

But some say Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets should have been given more consideration for the award. His team is up 2-1 against the San Antonio Spurs.

Howard Bryant talks with John Ydstie about the playoff action.
