Battling AIDS in Africa with New Strategies

A recent Harvard study suggests HIV prevention methods — such as condom use, regular testing, and abstinence — are not as effective in Africa.

Researchers say male circumcision and reducing sexual partners would have a greater impact on stemming the AIDS pandemic within the continent.

For more, Farai Chideya talks with one of the paper's lead authors, Daniel Halperin — senior research scientist at the Harvard School of Public Health Department of Population and International Health.
