Washington, D.C. is looking for a new slogan to replace "Celebrate and Discover" and "The American Experience." The city wants something snappier. How about "Visit Your Tax Dollars?"

STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

The nations' capital is looking for a new slogan. Not many people seem excited by Washington's current slogans - Celebrate and Discover; or The American Experience - so the city wants something snappier. Unfortunately, Las Vegas already took What Happens Here, Stays Here. But other possibilities are available. Visit Your Tax Dollars; The Capital of Crime; or The U.S. Capital -Contributing to Global Warming Since the 1700s.

It's MORNING EDITION.
