In N.H., a Tight Political Rematch
Six years ago, New Hampshire Republican John Sununu not only knocked off his state's GOP senator, Bob Smith, in a primary, he also defeated Democratic Gov. Jeanne Shaheen in November.
Since then, however, the state has had a Democratic surge. In 2006, a Democratic governor was re-elected by a record margin, and the state's two Republican congressmen were unseated.
Now, Shaheen is back to take on Sununu. This time, the Democrats are optimistic. But the Republicans have a secret weapon: John McCain.
Josh Rogers reports from New Hampshire Public Radio.
