Quaker Gun is a young, indie-rock band out of Portland, Ore. The group cites a wide range of influences from Queen and Pink Floyd to Wilco, Elliott Smitm and Thelonius Monk. Quaker Gun also has a deep love of Americana and Johnny Cash.

The band's line up features drummer Abe Figueroa, bassist and vocalist Matt Thomson, lead vocalist, harmonica player, guitarist and pianist Andy Tucker and guitarist and vocalist Jake Spears.

The band members released their sophomore record, Wood & String, in January. They mastered and engineered the album themselves. Their first, self-titled record was released in February, 2006.
