The discovery of a class ring turned out to be more exciting to the man who found it than to the woman who had lost it.

RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

Good morning, I'm Renee Montagne. The discovery of a class ring turned out to be more exciting to the man who found it than to the woman who had lost it. Robert Savage found the ring in a lake in Michigan - Ludington High School, Class of '55, initials J.P. He got the name from the yearbook, Jan Pedersen, then tracked her down with classified ads and calls to the other Pedersens. And her response to the Ludington Daily News? I'd forgotten all about it.

It's MORNING EDITION.
