Alec Berlin is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from New York City. The musical palette on his record, Beauty, Grazing at the Trough, extends from Broadway orchestra to jazz and rock 'n' roll.

He says Beauty represents the most complete distillation of his musical experiences to date.

Berlin wrote, arranged, produced, mixed, played guitars and sang these songs after a year of test driving the material in clubs around New York City. At these shows, Berlin received feedback from fans. According to Berlin, one said his music was "what it would sound like if Jimi Hendrix played in Elvis Costello's band."

Berlin studied at Boston's New England Conservatory, where he earned a Master's degree in music, focusing on performing jazz guitar.
