DEBORAH AMOS, host:
Good morning, I'm Deb Amos. The Vatican is rolling out what you might call Pope 2.0. Pope Benedict is already the first pontiff to have a cell phone and a specially engraved iPod. He's the first to send text messages to the faithful. He sent daily messages of digital inspiration to Catholics at the World Youth Festival, underway in Australia.
There's no word on whether the pontiff was able to get his hands on the newest version of the iPhone. It's MORNING EDITION.
