Every kid who ever felt like a dork for obsessing over comic books can feel at home today. The annual Comic Con Convention begins Thursday in San Diego. More than 125,000 people are expected. Many dress as superheroes like Batman. Others attend panel discussions on subjects such as the "Klingon Lifestyle," based on Star Trek.

STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning, I'm Steve Inskeep. Every kid who ever felt like a dork for obsessing over comic books can feel at home today. The annual Comic Con Convention begins today in San Diego. More than 125,000 people are expected. Many dress as superheroes, like Superman. Others attend panel discussions on subjects such as the Klingon lifestyle, based on "Star Trek." Tickets are sold out, but they're being scalped on the Internet for hundreds of dollars. You're listening to MORNING EDITION.
