The eclectic British quintet The Duke Spirit fuses elements of rock 'n' roll, soul, punk and power-pop, in the process paying tribute to influences such as Sonic Youth and the Pixies. Click the link above to hear the band perform live in concert from WXPN and World Café Live in Philadelphia.

After the release of The Duke Spirit's first album, Cuts Across the Land, the group built a loyal following with the aid of tours opening for Queens of the Stone Age and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. On its new follow-up, Neptune, The Duke Spirit comes of age, writing songs that evoke sadness, redemption, death and rebirth.
