Obama Campaigns In Midwest
While the Democratic Convention gets under way Monday, the party's headliner, Barack Obama, isn't in Denver. He's busy stumping across a handful of Midwestern battleground states. He held a town hall meeting in Davenport, Iowa.

Barack Obama is scheduled to arrive in Denver on Wednesday. Until then, Obama will be touring a handful of Midwestern battleground states. Yesterday, he spoke at the Rod & Gun Club in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. And today, he spoke into questions at a fairground in Davenport, Iowa. He told the crowd that the Iraq war is a waste of American taxpayer dollars.
Senator BARACK OBAMA (Democrat, Illinois; Presidential Candidate): This year, Iraq, Iraq will have a $79 billion surplus. They've got - because oil revenues went up and their only revenue is oil. Their budget basically doubles. And it's sitting there in a bank in New York, drawing interest while your taxpayer money goes over to Iraq to rebuild Baghdad. It makes no sense.
BLOCK: Well, tomorrow, Obama will take his message to Kansas City, Missouri, then on to Billings, Montana on Wednesday, then to Denver.
